  I purchased a phone charger. Returned it within 2 days, because it didn't work. I was informed that I opened the package so it couldn't be returned . I explained that is the only way to fid out if it worked and there was not a sign stating this policy. The manager on duty agreed but wouldn't even give me a store credit which is what I wanted. I told them that this was my first and last time shopping at stein mart and would never shop at this store again. I also advise others to not shop there either. Very unfair and unreasonable policy that is not shown anywhere in the store.
